The grand finale of AIUB Champions League (ACL) 2025, held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, was nothing short of electrifying. Borussia Dortmund (Faculty of Science and Technology-FST) emerged victorious, securing the coveted championship with a thrilling tiebreaker 6-5 win over FC Barcelona (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences-FASS) in a nail-biting showdown. Atletico Madrid (FBA) claimed the third spot on the podium, Real Sociedad (FST) earned the Fair Play award for their commendable sportsmanship. Adding to the excitement, a special women’s match saw Inter Miami edge out Real Madrid in a fierce rivalry. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the campus turned into a stage for celebration during the grand prize-giving ceremony. The event was graced by Ms. Nadia Anwar, Founder Member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, AIUB, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Md. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor, AIUB; Professor Dr. Abdur Rahman, Pro Vice-Chancellor, AIUB; Dr. Zahidul Islam Khan, Registrar, AIUB; Professor Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor, AIUB; Major (Retd.) Faiz-Ul-Bari Rajon, Depuy Director, Administration; and Mr. Abu Miah Akhanda Tuhin, Head of Public Relations. The program was hosted by Mr. Md. Joynal Abedin, Coordinator, Office of Sports, AIUB. The organizing team, spearheaded by the Office of Sports with support from the Office of Student Affairs, expressed heartfelt thanks to all participants for their incredible energy and passion throughout the tournament.
